Five-year letter winner in cross country and track and field at North Shore High School... part of North Shore cross country team that was ranked third in New York in 2010 and 2011...helped lead North Shore to a state championship in 2010 and 2011 in cross country...contributed to team that finished ninth nationally in Nike Cross Nationals during sophomore and junior seasons...part of the indoor 4x1500 relay squad that broke the national record in the event in 2012...four-time all-state selection in cross country...named all-state in the winter and spring 4x800 relay as a sophomore...tabbed all-state in the winter 3000 and spring 2000-meter steeple chase during junior year...won county championship in the 1000, 3000 and 2000-meter steeple chase as a senior...recognized as All-Long Island during junior and senior seasons...named all-country in cross country and winter track five times and spring track four times...High School Athlete of the Year as a senior...holds eighth grade New York State indoor record in the 5000-meter...member of National Honors Society.
