The 2002 Providing Athletes With Scholarships Campaign kicks off this Friday, Jan. 25, in the Indoor Sports Complex Atrium. The Kick-off begins at 6 p.m. and will include welcome remarks, a video presentation and volunteer recognition.
The P.A.W.S. Campaign is in its fifth year of supporting athletic scholarships and looks to raise $700,000. The campaign runs for five weeks through March 5. All dollars raised through the campaign are awarded to over 200 Stony Brook student-athletes. Since the Campaign's inception in 1998, it has raised over $1,700,000 in scholarship funds.
All supporters who donate to the campaign at the $25 level or higher become members of the Seawolves Club and enjoy a vast array of benefits including special event invitations, priority points for better seat location at Seawolves football, basketball and lacrosse games, as well as merchandise discounts.
