Stony Brook University will hold a press conference on Wednesday to announce that it has accepted an invitation to join the America East conference. The press conference will begin at 10 a.m. and will take place on campus in the atrium of the Indoor Sports Complex.
Stony Brook, in only its second year of NCAA Division I status, will be announced as the newest member of the America East, joining Albany, Boston University, Delaware, Hofstra, Hartford, Drexel, Maine, New Hampshire, Northeastern, Towson and Vermont.
