Thirty-five Stony Brook student-athletes were named to the 2001 America East Conference Fall Honor Roll for earning a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, the conference announced last week. A total of 622 student-athletes from member schools received the honor, with 269 named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The student-athletes were members of teams in the six championship sports which America East offered in the fall season including men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
The following Stony Brook student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll: Jonathan Brims*, Bill Cotter*, Dave deWolfe, Andrew Gabrelle, Dale Summerville* and Michael Thompson (men's cross country), Karla Faustin, Patty Gregory*, Tina Huggler, Laura Hixson* and Jenny Payne* (women's cross country), Kevin Cameron, Jamie Gaither*, Ivan Perez, Jaime Serna, Jr., Dustin Tibbs* and Everett Watts (men's soccer), Lauren Canino, Jessica Enes*, Jennifer Fontanetta, Sarah Greenberg, Megan Healey*, Kristin Lynch*, Lisa Mariano, Kerri McCabe*, Lori Nelson*, Emily Snyder and Dana White* (women's soccer), Debra Falkenberg, Rachel Goldsmith*, Danielle McKnight, Dana Montazzoli*, Jaime O'Connor, Maria Samilo and Susanne Westing* (volleyball).
