Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Building on the success of last year's improved Seawolves/Ramp Car Show, the Ramp family will return to campus April 23-25, the fourth straight year the Port Jefferson Station-based car dealer will bring the event to Stony Brook University.
"Last year, the new and improved car show focused on the Stony Brook University family as opposed to the Suffolk County-driven car sale in the past. This year, the show will once again offer special savings available only to Stony Brook students, family, staff, alumni and friends, as well as some new items," said Tom Hall, Director of Corporate Relations/Athletic Licensing for the Stony Brook Athletics Department.
This special on-campus event will take place outside the SBU Sports Complex on the Pritchard Gym patio and will feature 20 to 25 of Chevy's most coveted models. New to the show will be Hummer models and Indian motorcycles.
The Ramp Mobile service van will also be on display at the show. The van, complete with a factory-trained technician, will be able to perform maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, minor repairs and diagnostic services.
To further benefit the University community, Ramp will hold a raffle for one semester's free tuition, as well as a $500 gift certificate good towards any goods or services at Ramp Chevrolet. Furthermore, as part of Ramp's continuing efforts to support community service, a portion of the proceeds from each vehicle sold or leased will be donated to the Sunrise Fund for pediatric cancer at Stony Brook.
