$711,895 Raised for scholarships!
The 2003 Providing Athletes With Scholarships Campaign (P.A.W.S) raised $711,895 during its five week period which concluded last week. The campaign received almost 1,000 donations from Seawolves supporters on its way to surpassing the goal of 700K. The P.A.W.S Campaign was established in 1998 to raise scholarship funds for Stony Brook University's Division I student-athletes. In its short history the P.A.W.S Campaign has raised over $3.1 million for athletic scholarships.
The P.A.W.S Campaign occurs every spring over five weeks and is comprised of teams of volunteers who solicit donations and community involvement from alumni, friends, faculty, staff and corporations.
The P.A.W.S Campaign is successful due to the participation of volunteers who know that they make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes. Their hard work and dedication allow "Today's Student-Athletes become Tomorrow's Future".
