Alyssa Imhof Hired As New Cheerleading Coach

Stony Brook, NY -- - The Stony Brook University Seawolves announced Thursday morning the hiring of Alyssa Imhof as the new cheerleading coach for the Seawolves.

Imhof spent the last two years as the cheerleading coach at Suffolk Community College and the last year as the head coach for the North Babylon High School varsity squad.

"Alyssa brings an unbelievable passion to the sport and has an excellent track record as a performer and leader," said Tim Szlosek, Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Seawolves. "There is a renewed enthusiasm and excitement around here with her hiring."

Imhof, who currently works as a teacher and coach in the North Babylon School District, earned her Bachelor's Degree at Hofstra University in 1998 and went on to earn a Master's Degree from Dowling College in 1999.

Imhof will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the program to include performances at all home football and basketball games and bringing the Seawolves program to a competition level.

Imhof resides in East Islip, NY with her husband and Stony Brook graduate, Will Imhof.
