Stony Brook, N.Y. -
The Stony Brook University athletic
department, in conjunction with Student Advantage's Official College Sports
Network, recently unveiled a complete redesign of the school's official
athletic website located at www.goseawolves.org. The site, which
will be re-launched on June 18, is the only official source of information,
merchandise, multimedia, and more directly from the Stony Brook athletic
department.
Along with the new look, goseawolves.org offers expanded efforts to provide
alumni, fans and media with complete information on all Seawolves sports.
The site features live game audio clips, schedules, ticket information,
donation information, interactive games, and promotions. Throughout the
year, there will be opportunities to interact online with Stony Brook
athletes and coaches. Fans can also continue to purchase officially
licensed merchandise through the site's online store, with proceeds from
each sale benefiting the athletic department.
"It is very exciting to relaunch a state-of-the-art athletic web site," said Stony Brook Dean of Physical Education and Athletics, Dr. Richard Laskowski. "In addition to the coverage, it gives our fans the ability to interact with our players and coaches and with the addition of an online store in the near future it gives our fans the opportunity to proudly wear the Stony Brook Seawolves name."
"We are excited that Stony Brook University has chosen to enhance its
official athletic site," said Jeff Cravens, Official College Sports
Network's Vice President and General Manager. "Goseawolves.org is the
complete destination for Stony Brook fans to follow their favorite Seawolves
teams. The power of the Internet has become a vital part of any athletic
department's marketing, promotional and information efforts, and it is a
credit to Stony Brook that they are taking full advantage of it."
