Kenneth White To Step Down As Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

July 10, 2003

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Kenneth White, Stony Brook's first head strength and conditioning coach, will be stepping down from his position effective at the end of the month to accept a similar position at Providence College. For the past four years, White has presided over the design and implementation of training programs for all 20 of Stony Brook's varsity sports.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my four-year experience at Stony Brook," said White. "So many of the athletes worked extremely hard and I am grateful to have had the support of the coaching staff and the administration. I believe I have accomplished my objectives while I was here at Stony Brook and look forward to a new opportunity."

In September of 1999, White was appointed as the first strength and conditioning coach in the program's history. His training routines emphasized strength and power development and helped produce over 20 first-team all-conference performers in the last two years.
