Christine Graziano has been named Assistant Director of Media Relations at Stony Brook University. Graziano will serve as the primary contact for several of Stony Brook's sports and will begin her duties in mid-August.
Graziano arrives at Stony Brook after working for the past year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Quinnipiac University. At Quinnipiac, she served as the primary contact for women's basketball as well as several Olympic sports.
Prior to Quinnipiac, Graziano completed a one-year internship in the Duke University Sports Information office. While at Duke, Graziano served as the primary contact for women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving and track and field, while assisting with women's basketball, baseball and men's lacrosse.
Graziano is a 2001 cum laude graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with a B.A. in Communications. While at Marist, she interned with the sports information office, the New York Rangers Hockey Club and IBM Corporate Community Relations. The native of Hurley, N.Y., was also a three-year letterwinner on the women's swimming and diving team and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's All-Academic team as a sophomore and junior.
