Stony Brook, NY -- - Season tickets and ticket packages for the 2003-04 men's and women's basketball seasons are now on sale. Home games against the Red Storm of St. John's, the Runnin' Utes of Utah and the Vermont Catamounts headline the 2003-04 Stony Brook men's basketball season while games against St. Bonaventure, Delaware and Maine highlight the most competitive schedule in women's history.
The men open the season at home against Dartmouth on Friday, Nov. 21 on Poster Schedule Night at the Sports Complex. Two days later it's Autographed Team Picture Day as the Seawolves host Rick Majerus and the Runnin' Utes of Utah on Sunday, Nov. 23. On Saturday, Nov, 29, the defending NIT Champion St. John's Red Storm invades the Sports Complex for the first time since 1999.
On Sunday, January 11, it's Times Beacon Record Basketball Clinic Day as Seawolves players and coaches will be on-hand to host a pre-game clinic. The Seawolves will take on New Hampshire following the clinic at 2:00 p.m.
The women will also stand up to their most competitive schedule in history. The Seawolves open the home season against St. Bonaventure Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. on Poster Schedule Night. NCAA mascot JJ Jumper will also be on-hand with giveaways and lots of games. On Saturday, January 3, it's Autographed Team Picture Day when the Harvard Crimson drops into the Sports Complex for a visit.
On Saturday, January 10, the Seawolves will host a pre-game clinic before taking on New Hampshire at 2:00 p.m.
The biggest promotion of the year comes a week later when the women take on Hartford on January 17 at 2 p.m. The first 500 kids 12-under will receive a free mini-basketball.
