Brian Lotito has stepped down as the assistant director of advancement at Stony Brook University, Director of Athletics Jim Fiore announced.
For the past two years, Lotito has been an essential member of the Stony Brook athletic development staff. Lotito, who was in charge of planning golf outings, fund raisers and other special events, was directly involved with the annual P.A.W.S. campaign that raised significant scholarship money for Stony Brook student-athletes during his tenure.
"Brian has been a loyal member of our Seawolves family and his energy, passion and work ethic for Stony Brook University and specifically our department of athletics will be greatly missed," said Fiore. "We wish him much success in his new professional endeavor."
While at Stony Brook, Lotito also held the positions of graduate assistant in the office of external affairs, interim director of special events and interim director of marketing and promotions.
Lotito earned his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook with a B.A. in political science and history in 2000 and went on to complete his master's of professional studies from the school in 2001.
