There will be no charge for admission to the championship.

The following awards will be presented upon conclusion of the second race.

• Men's and Women's top individual finishers
• 2nd-10th place individual finishers
• Championship Runner-up team
• Championship team
• Individual awards for members of the Men's and Women's Championship teams
• Men's and Women's Coaching Staff of the Year (the following Monday)

• The women's distance will be 5,000 meters and the men' distance will be 8,000 meters (see attached course maps).
• The squads will be limited to nine competitors each. The first five (5) finishers for each team will constitute their scorers.
• Intermediate times will be given at the mile marks.
• Starting positions will be determined by random draw.

The 2007 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship will be conducted in accordance with the 2007 NCAA Cross Country / Track and Field rules book.

NCAA rules shall be followed.  Five runners must finish to give a school a team score. Sixth and seventh place finishers tally only.

First place ties in the team scoring at America East Conference Cross Country Championships will be broken following NCAA guidelines. Thus, ties in America East Championship Meets for the purpose of advancement to NCAA championships shall be broken by comparing the place finish of each team member 1-5 versus their respective competitor on the opposing team (Team A's first finisher vs. Team B's first finisher, etc.) The advancement advantage goes to the team winning the majority (best of five) of the comparisons.

DIRECTIONS TO CROSS-COUNTRY COURSE

From NYC
Take LIE(495) To Exit 62, (97 north to Stony Brook).  Proceed on 97 north until it ends at route 25A.  Take a left onto 25A and proceed 1.5 miles until you reach the third traffic light.  Take a left at light to continue on route 25A.  Go .4 of a mile then take a left on Stony Brook Road.  Proceed .8 of a mile and turn right into Stony Brook R&D Park.  Follow road for approximately 1 mile to course parking lot. 

From Port Jefferson Ferry
Take 25A west for approximately 6 miles.  Take a left at light to continue on route 25A.  Go .4 of a mile then take a left on Stony Brook Road.  Proceed .8 of a mile and turn right into Stony Brook R&D Park.  Follow road for approximately 1 mile to course parking lot. 

From Marriot Islandia

From Stony Brook Campus
Exit campus via the South Drive exit (adjacent to South P Lot) and turn right onto Stony Brook Road.  Proceed approximately .2 miles and turn left into Stony Brook R&D Park.  Follow road for approximately 1 mile to course parking lot.
