What is the John Ramsey Leadership Society?

The Ramsey Leadership Society is a leadership giving society recognizing Stony Brook Athletics' most ardent and generous supporters.

About Mr. John Ramsey

A 1999 Stony Brook Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, John Ramsey is one of the most recognizable names in the history of Stony Brook Athletics. John served Stony Brook for over 35 years as both a coach and administrator, founding the Men's Soccer program, and serving as Stony Brook's first Division of Physical Education and Athletic Director.

Who is recognized in the John Ramsey Leadership Society?

Any donor who makes a major gift commitment to any departmental priority will be recognized in the John Ramsey Leadership Society for five years from the date of their commitment.
Donors can choose to support any Sport-Specific Fund for Excellence, Seawolves United Unrestricted Giving, or any current department capital project, endowment, or scholarship need.
