Clare Levy joined the Stony Brook women's lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2025 season, as announced by head coach Joe Spallina. 

In Levy's first season as a coach, the Seawolves went 16-5 overall and 8-0 in league action to earn their third consecutive regular season title and championship crown in as many seasons in the CAA. Stony Brook made their 12th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, defeating Loyola Maryland, 11-8, in the first round before giving No. 2/3 Boston College a run for their money in the second round, falling to the Eagles, 10-7. Levy led the Stony Brook defense which ranked fifth in the nation, allowing only 8.81 goals per game. She also assisted in the substantial growth of Tewaaraton Watch List, IWLCA All-American, Nike Lacrosse All-American, USA Lacrosse All-American, CAA and ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, and All-CAA First Teamer in Avery Hines. 
 
Before joining the Seawolves coaching staff, Levy was a four-year starter for the Seawolves and a mainstay for the Stony Brook defense. She helped the Seawolves to a pair of  America East titles in 2021 and 2022 before winning two consecutive CAA Championships in 2023 and 2024. She participated in four-straight NCAA Tournaments with Stony Brook advancing to a pair of Second Round and Quarterfinal appearances.
 
Levy is a USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team and Third Team selection, Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recipient, All-CAA First Team and Second Team selection, two-time CAA All-Championship Team honoree, and All-America East First Team and All-Rookie defender.
 
The Rocky Point, N.Y. native appeared in 75 games with 74 starts for the Seawolves. She totaled 185 draw controls and 74 caused turnovers for seventh all-time in program history. Levy also collected 118 ground balls, and 26 points on 14 goals and 12 assists.

Levy graduated from Stony Brook after coming off its 11th straight NCAA Tournament berth in the springtime, defeating Niagara 19-7 in the First Round before a 15-10 loss in the Second Round to No. 3 Syracuse.
