Biography

Stony Brook head women's lacrosse coach Joe Spallina has announced the hire of Seawolves alum and All-American Frankie Caridi as an assistant coach, effective February 2016.

Caridi returns to Stony Brook after spending the 2015 campaign at Bucknell. While in Lewisburg, Caridi worked with the team's goalies and defense.

A 2014 Stony Brook alum, Caridi was one of the most prolific goalies in program history. Her .514 career save percentage is best in Seawolves history, while her 5.91 goals-against average is the best among any Seawolves goalie with at least 1500 minutes played. Caridi won two America East championships at Stony Brook, qualified for two NCAA tournaments and was named an IWLCA Third-Team All-American in 2014.

Caridi transferred to Stony Brook from Division II power Adelphi, where she was an IWLCA First-Team All-American as a freshman in 2011 as the Panthers went 20-0 and won the Division II national championship in Joe Spallina's final season before taking over at Stony Brook.
