Emily Meyer

Emily Meyer is in her fourth year at Stony Brook moving from Intern to Graduate Assistant to Assistant Athletic Performance Coach. She is currently responsible for the year round performance for Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Soccer and Women’s Tennis. She also oversees the Sports Science Department alongside Vincent Cagliostro where she is responsible for collecting and distributing data to her respective coaching staffs. Meyer will continue to assist with sports science as she continues her time here. 

Meyer graduated with her Masters from Stony Brook University in the Fall of 2023. Throughout her time in graduate school, she was a graduate assistant working with multiple teams in athletics such as Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis and Cross Country. 

Meyer originally joined Stony Brook in the Summer of 2021 as an intern, working with Football, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball as well as involvement with sports science for each team. In the Fall of 2021, she was elevated to a volunteer coaching assistant, looking to assist teams throughout the department. 

In August of 2021, she graduated from the University of Indianapolis, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science. 

Meyer was a four year member of the nationally ranked varsity lacrosse team. She was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team in 2019. 

Meyer is a Long Island native and graduated from Bay Shore High School in 2017. She was a member of the varsity soccer team and varsity lacrosse team. 

Meyer is certified in CPR/AED by the American Red Cross.
