Haley Zemek

Haley Zemek joined the Stony Brook University Athletics Department in June 2024, as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.
 
Before Stony Brook, Zemek served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Manhattanville University from August 2022-May 2024. While at Manhattanville, she contributed as a media contact for the 24 Division III varsity teams and two junior varsity teams as assigned. She was also responsible for home game event management including public address announcing, in game live stats, and video live streaming. She would also monitor and update website content through game previews and recaps, weekly awards, coach and player biographies, and feature stories. Zemek, along with the Athletic Communications Department, were recognized as finalists for the 2024 D3SIDA Communicators of the Year Award. 
 
During the 2023-2024 season, Zemek worked as an MLB Stat Stringer and Pitch Clock Operator for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets. She was responsible for recording statistics and the population of the official box score while maintaining pitch and inning timers.
 
Prior to her role with the Brooklyn Cyclones, she spent the summer of 2022 as the PC/Camera Director for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders of the Northwoods League. She directed the ESPN+ broadcast for the team’s home games for the 2022 season, and was responsible for training camera operators, creating postgame highlight packages, and developing multimedia content for the team’s website and social media accounts.
 
From September 2021 to May 2022, Zemek worked as a Production Assistant for The Pulse with Peter B. continuing to develop her skills in video and audio production, editing, social media, graphic design, and public relations. She started her career in the media industry as a Production Assistant with Renaissance Productions gaining experience in video and audio production, lighting, and editing from 2020 to October 2021.
 
She currently works with the New York Mets on the Citi Perk Patrol where her role includes fan interaction, t-shirt launches, and crowd rallies while facilitating entertainment with live, on-screen interactive features and selecting participants for in-game promotions.
 
The Poconos, Pa. native is a 2022 graduate of Seton Hall University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Sound Media with a minor in Sports Media, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. She later received her Master’s of Science in Sports Business and Entertainment Management from Manhattanville University in May 2024.
