Sotiria Everett

Dr. Everett is a Registered Dietitian and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine’s Nutrition Division. She joined Stony Brook Athletic Performance in 2019 to provide sports performance nutrition counseling for the student-athletes at Stony Brook University.

Prior to joining Stony Brook University, Dr. Everett was the program nutritionist at the Katz Institute for Women’s Health at Northwell Health. Before her time at Northwell Health, she worked at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan as a Clinical Nutritionist II, sports nutritionist at the Women’s Sports Medicine Center, and nutritionist for the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program for Lupus Patients.  Dr. Everett received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Microbiology, with a Minor in Modern Greek from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Doctoral degree in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
 
Dr. Everett is a Registered Dietitian, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association and the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition practice group.
