Stony Brook softball head coach Megan T. Bryant announced the return of Seawolves Hall of Famer Allie Brewster (Cukrov) '15 to Long Island as the program's new associate head coach and recruiting coordinator in July 2026.

As part of her role as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, Brewster will lead the pitching staff and assist with administrative duties, including camps and clinics, community service efforts and alumnae engagement.

Brewster was a four-year member of the Seawolves from 2012-15. During that time she established herself as one of the premier pitchers in the country, picking up two America East Pitcher of the Year awards (2012, 2014) and three All-America East First Team nods (2012, 2014, 2015). In 2013, she led the Seawolves to the NCAA tournament after claiming the America East Title and Tournament MVP honors with a 3-1 record and 1.11 earned run average in the conference postseason.

A 2022 Stony Brook Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, Brewster finished her career with a 2.40 ERA and 685 strikeouts while becoming the program's all-time leader in wins (77), shutouts (34) and saves (13). She is also one of just eight Seawolves to ever throw a no-hitter and one of just four to toss a perfect game.

Following her graduation, Brewster named one of 30 finalists for the 2015 Senior CLASS Award. She spent the next year as the co-head coach and pitching instructor at the Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle, Illinois. Afterwards, she would transition to collegiate coaching, spending two seasons as an assistant at Southwestern University where she helped the team make the SCAC Championship game in both years.

In 2018, Brewster made the jump to Division I as a member of Cornell's staff. Responsible for all areas of the team's daily operations and working closely with the pitchers, she helped the Big Red pick up 12 All-Ivy nods in her six years with the program.

In the summer of 2023, Brewster joined Boston University's staff as an assistant coach. During her three-year stint in Boston, the Terriers went 139-40-1 overall and 48-6 in Patriot League contests, claiming the Patriot League title and making the NCAA tournament in every season. While on the staff, Brewster personally mentored BU's ace Kasey Ricard. A D1Softball All-American, USA Softball Top 26 Player of the Year Finalist and three-time Patriot League Pitcher of the Year, Ricard thrived under Brewster's leadership, leading the entire NCAA in wins in 2026 with 33.

Overall, BU's staff was twice named NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year in Brewster's tenure. The team also accumulated 21 All-Patriot League honors, seven major Patriot League year-end awards, and 16 NFCA All-Region selections.

Brewster graduated from Stony Brook with a degree in sustainability in 2015. She would later earn her master's in kinesiology from Georgia Southern in 2020.
