Stony Brook University Athletics

Andrea Lebedinski was promoted to Director of Lifelong and Athletics Engagement in April 2024 after serving as Director of Seawolves United since March 2022. In her role she is primarily responsible for cultivating and strengthening lifelong relationships between Stony Brook University and its alumni community.

An integral member of the Athletics Development Team and Constituent Experience Team within Stony Brook University Advancement, Andrea spearheads initiatives to enhance the alumni experience, with a special focus on fostering engagement among students, recent graduates and athletics alumni. She also oversees all aspects of the daily Seawolves United operations, generating revenue to support over 400 student-athletes across 18 intercollegiate sport programs.

Andrea's responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding relationships with athletic department donors along with increasing the visibility of the Seawolves United brand through strategic marketing and networking efforts. She also plans and manages all Seawolves United signature events, including but not limited to, golf outings, alumni receptions and cultivations that are focused on strategic constituency building.

Andrea's journey at Stony Brook Athletics began in July 2008 when she joined as Coordinator of Merchandise and Branding. Over the years, she progressed through roles including Coordinator of Annual Giving and Branding in 2010 and then Assistant Director of Seawolves United and Donor Stewardship in 2016.

A native of Setauket, N.Y., Andrea graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University in 2008 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing, with a minor in Media Arts. She furthered her education at Stony Brook, earning a master's degree in Professional Development with a concentration in Human Resource Management in May 2010.

Prior to her full-time roles at Stony Brook, Andrea served as a student assistant in the athletics department and contributed to marketing efforts, including serving as floor director of the Stony Brook Sports Report, the department's weekly television show.  During her time as an undergraduate, Lebedinski was a member of the Stony Brook Dance Team for two years.
