Andrea Lebedinski

Andrea Lebedinski was promoted to Director of Lifelong and Athletics Engagement in April 2024 after serving as Director of Seawolves United since March 2022. In her role she is primarily responsible for cultivating and strengthening lifelong relationships between Stony Brook University and its alumni community.

An integral member of both the Athletics Development Team and the Constituent Experience Team within Stony Brook University Advancement, Andrea leads initiatives focused on enhancing the alumni experience, with a special emphasis on engagement among students, recent graduates, and athletics alumni. She oversees a broad portfolio of programs and events designed to build meaningful connections, deepen involvement, and celebrate the Stony Brook community.

Andrea’s responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding relationships with alumni, donors and key stakeholders, developing strategic engagement opportunities, and planning and executing signature athletics events such as golf outings, alumni receptions, and other constituency-focused gatherings. She also collaborates closely with coaches, campus partners, and university leadership to create impactful experiences that strengthen pride and support for Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Athletics.

Andrea’s Stony Brook journey began in July 2008 when she joined the Athletics department as Coordinator of Merchandise and Branding. She advanced to Coordinator of Annual Giving and Branding in 2010 and later to Assistant Director of Seawolves United and Donor Stewardship in 2016 before transitioning into broader leadership roles within University Advancement.

A native of Setauket, N.Y., Andrea graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University in 2008 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing and a minor in Media Arts. She continued her education at Stony Brook, earning a master’s degree in Professional Development with a concentration in Human Resource Management in May 2010.

Before transitioning into full-time roles within Athletics, Andrea contributed as a student assistant, supporting marketing initiatives and serving as floor director for the Stony Brook Sports Report, the department’s weekly television show. She was also a member of the Stony Brook Dance Team for two years during her undergraduate studies.
