Monica Schacker is the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Stony Brook University. She was promoted to the role in July 2025 after serving as Director of Compliance, a position she held since May 2023. Schacker joined the Stony Brook Athletics Department in August 2021 as Director of Ticket Operations.
Schacker oversees the Athletics Compliance Office and leads a comprehensive compliance program supporting more than 450 student-athletes across 18 varsity sports and approximately 150 staff members. Her areas of oversight include academic and athletics eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives, NCAA legislation interpretation and education.
Schacker earned a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society with a minor in Psychology from Philadelphia University in 2015 and a Master of Business Administration, also from Philadelphia University, in 2016. While completing her graduate studies, she served as a Graduate Assistant within the Athletic Department.
A former student-athlete, Schacker was a three-year member of the Philadelphia University women’s basketball program and served as team captain during the 2014-15 season. She helped lead the team to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015 and finished her career as a 1,000-point scorer.
