Patrick Carlucci

Patrick Carlucci serves as Associate Athletic Director for Business & Finance for Stony Brook Athletics. He arrived at Stony Brook in 2015 as Coordinator of Financial Operations.

Carlucci’s duties at Stony Brook focus on strategic planning, budget development, implementing and overseeing departmental budgetary policies and procedures, preparing athletic and support area budgets, reviewing revenues, disbursements, maintaining a variety of specialized and recurring accounting reports, management of all SAP Concur travel activities, and multi-year planning and forecasting. Additionally, he serves on the senior leadership team and is the primary liaison for university accounting, procurement, bursar, internal audit, travel, budget financial planning & analysis departments. This position is tasked with creating and presenting monthly financial reports to the university's CFO, BFP&A, and senior management to ensure fiscal integrity, as well as annual NCAA and EADA reporting.

Carlucci was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in July 2020 after three years as Director of Business and Finance.

Prior to Stony Brook, Carlucci served as a Budget Analyst for the NYC Parks and Recreation Department from 2014-15. His responsibilities included the management and tracking of budgets for all capital projects within the borough of Manhattan. While working at NYC Parks and Recreation, he also served as the Payroll Coordinator for Queens College Athletics department, where his duties included processing all new hires, verifying a variety of payroll related information, and ensuring compliance with established financial, legal, and administrative requirements.

Before his time with NYC Parks and Recreation, Carlucci served as Business Manager at Queens College Athletics from 2012-2015, creating and managing department operating and scholarship budgets for 19 varsity sports, handling of 6 different revenue generating areas, coordinating all travel arrangements for varsity sport programs, and various other financial aspects for the Athletic department.

Carlucci also worked as a staff accountant for a private investment company, Granite Associates, L.P, upon graduation from 2009-2012. While at Granite Associates, Carlucci was responsible for monthly accounting close procedures, annual budget assumptions, monthly profit & loss and balance sheet analysis, as well as other various ad-hoc requests from the CFO. During this time, he also received his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.

A four-year student-athlete for the men’s soccer team at SUNY New Paltz, Carlucci received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance. He also was a volunteer assistant coach for New Paltz men’s soccer in the fall of 2010 and served as goalkeeper coach for Queens College’s men’s and women’s programs in the fall of 2014.
