Hussain "Zain" Kanji serves as the Assistant Director of Creative Services and Broadcast Operations for Stony Brook Athletics. In his role, he oversees live video production for Seawolves athletic events, directing broadcasts distributed on FloCollege and SNY while also supporting in-venue video board operations. He also creates video content for marketing, social media and promotional campaigns. He also trains student production staff in broadcast operations, replay, graphics and videography.

Kanji began his career in collegiate athletics at the University of Kansas, producing live broadcasts for ESPN platforms while serving in a variety of technical production roles across Kansas Athletics. He also worked in sports radio with Great Plains Media, gaining experience in live announcing, board operation and podcast production.

A native of Libertyville, Illinois, Kanji earned a Master of Science in Journalism with a specialization in Video and Broadcast from Northwestern University and holds bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Film & Media Studies from the University of Kansas.
