The Fairfield Stags posted a .283 attack percentage to register a 15-6, 15-6, 15-8 win over Stony Brook Wednesday night at Fairfield (17-5). The Seawolves (8-15) lost for the third straight time.
Stony Brook had just six kills in game one while Fairfield tripled that total with 18 in taking the game, 15-6. The Seawolves did get 11 kills in game two and hit a match-best .147 but still fell, 15-6. Service errors plaqued Stony Brook as they committed 14 during the match.
The Seawolves registered four more kills than Fairfield in game 3, but hit -.029 and lost the game, 15-8, and subsequently the match, 3-0.
Jaime O'Connor led the Seawolves with eight kills and eight digs. Defensively, Cynthia Orengo had five blocks.
The Seawolves continue their six-match road swing when they head to Wagner Saturday night at 7:00.
