STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Brian Manigault ran for two touchdowns as Albany beat Stony Brook 47-14 on Saturday for its first victory of the season.

Albany (1-3 overall, 1-1 Northeast Conference) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Manigault's 1-yard run with 8:39 left. Stony Brook (2-2, 1-2) tied the game on Ralph Menendez's 6-yard TD run with 3:32 left in the quarter.

The Great Danes scored the next 17 points to take a 24-7 advantage, before Brian Stanley connected on an 80-yard pass to Lucas Niskanen to cut the deficit to 10.

Manigault, who had 98 yards rushing, also added a 2-yard TD run.

Albany outscored Stony Brook 23-0 in the second half.
