Men's Tennis Downs Georgetown At ECAC Tournament

Boston, MA - Egil Anonsen and James Carpenter won their respective matches Sunday at the ECAC Tournament as Stony Brook beat Georgetown, 4-3, and finished 14th at the 16-team event.

The Seawolves took the doubles point thanks to victories at #2 and #3. Anonsen and David Hewitt posted an 8-6 win at #2 and Philippe Amireault and Carpenter won 8-5 at #3.

Jens Pillgram-Larsen shutout Mark Lohser at #1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Anonsen defeated Dennis Cravedi in the second spot, 6-3, 7-5. Carpenter beat Nick Sklavounos in the sixth spot, 6-4, 6-3.

The Seawolves went 1-2 at the tournament, falling to Dartmouth and Brown earlier in the weekend.

Stony Brook hosts Hofstra, Dowling and Drexel Saturday and Sunday at home.
