Hempstead, NY -- - Stony Brook cruised to the doubles point and then took three of six singles matches in defeating Hofstra Wednesday afternoon in men's tennis. Stony Brook improved to 7-5 on the season, winning for the third time in eight matches.

The Seawolves actually swept the doubles point as Jens Pillgram-Larsen and Gareth Williams teamed at #1 for an 8-2 victory. Egil Anonsen and David Hewitt posted an 8-5 win at #2 and Nandor Veres and Phil Amireault captured an 8-6 victory at #3 doubles.

Pillgram-Larsen, Anonsen and Amireault all went on to win at their respective singles slots to earn the win.

Stony Brook hosts Wagner this afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
