Princeton, N.J. -
Princeton defeated the Seawolves, 7-0, on Thursday, handing Stony Brook its second straight dual match loss. Although the score would suggest an easy day for the Tigers, several Seawolves played exceptionally hard and challenged Princeton for three of the matches. The top three from Stony Brook put together a strong showing for their team and at times left the Tigers somewhat frustrated. However, the Tigers held on to earn the victory. In the No. 1 singles match, Princeton's Kyle Kliegerman defeated Jens Pillgram-Larsen, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1. Princeton's Judson Williams defeated Egil Anonsen in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, in a match filled with dramatic volleys. Princeton's Trevor Smith, playing in the third spot, defeated Gareth Williams, 6-2, 7-5, in another emotional match. The Tigers also captured all three doubles matches. The men's team returns to the court on March 20 when they face UMBC in Grenelefe, Fla., while the women's team travels to Cornell on March 10.
