The Stony Brook men's and women's tennis teams swept Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, Conn.
The men's team did not lose a match, winning all six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0 finish. Jens Pillgram-Larsen won 6-0, 7-6 (7-0) at No. 1, while No. 2 Egil Anonsen recorded a 6-2, 6-1 victory. No. 3 Philippe Amireault earned a 6-1, 6-2 win.
On the women's side, the Seawolves posted a 5-2 win over the Pioneers. No. 1 Martha Barrett earned a 6-1, 6-0 win while Barbara Affertsholt did not give up a game at No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Sacred Heart recorded wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, but the Seawolves won the doubles point to edge out the Pioneers.
