Stony Brook, N.Y. - The men's and women's tennis teams swept Iona on Wednesday afternoon.

The men's team won all six singles matches and three doubles matches for a 7-0 final score. Jens Pillgram-Larsen won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 slot, and Gareth Williams dropped just one game en route to his victory. No. 3 Philippe Amireault won 6-0, 6-0.

The women's team dropped just one singles match to record a 6-1 win. Martha Barrett won at No. 1 by a score of 6-1, 6-3, and No. 2 Barbara Affertsholt won 6-0, 6-0. Karen Hansen also won easily at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0, and No. 6 Esther Forrester did not give up a game to post a 6-0, 6-0 win.

With the wins, the men's team improves to 14-6, while the women are now 10-7.
