Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's and women's swimming and diving teams ready themselves for a big upcoming weekend, when they take on the St. Peter's Peacocks and the Binghamton Bearcats in tri-meet action Saturday. The Peacocks will host the tri-meet at Rev. Victor R. Yanitelli Pool in the Recreational Life Center and action is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.

The Seawolves enter the meet having experienced success both on the men's and women's side. Overall the men are having one of their most successful seasons under head coach Dave Alexander and enter Saturday's meet with a record of 6-1, having scored six straight wins. Last time out the men tallied a 95-18 win over St. Francis (N.Y.) and an 86-27 victory over Iona in tri-meet action.

The women enter Saturday on a two-meet winning streak after swimming past Iona, 74-39, and St. Francis (N.Y.), 83-27, last week. The two wins improve the women's overall record to 3-4 in 2002.
