Final Stats

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Rachel Goldsmith recorded 12 kills and Julie Zub added 38 assists to lift the Stony Brook women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win (30-27, 30-22, 30-18) over Army Tuesday night at the Indoor Sports Complex. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Seawolves as they improved to 2-8.

After a close first game, the Seawolves seized control of the match behind Goldsmith's serve and powerful left arm. SBU won going away 30-22 in the second game after taking a 6-1 advantage at the outset.

Game three was more of the same as Stony Brook posted a convincing 30-18 win to take the match. Sarah Bauer was also impressive in the victory, totaling nine kills and serving well throughout the night. Tesha Harry chipped in with seven kills.

Stony Brook is back in action this weekend when it heads to Morgan State for a four-match tournament beginning Friday.
