Volleyball Sweeps Seton Hall

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's volleyball team swept Seton Hall by scores of 31-29, 31-29 and 30-21 at the Stony Brook Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves improved to 9-7 with the victory, while Seton Hall dropped to 5-12.

Stony Brook won the first two games of the match in comeback fashion, surviving game points in each frame to earn 31-29 victories. The Seawolves dominated in Game 3, taking the game 30-21 to complete the sweep.

Maria Samilo led the offensive attack, posting 15 kills, while Melissa Votruba and Danielle MacKnight added 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Julie Zub paced the Seawolves with 44 assists and Kate Ruskowski and Morgan Sweany each added 10 digs.

The Seawolves are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Fairfield to take on the Stags at 7 p.m.
