After losing the first game of the match, Stony Brook rallied to win the next three games to top New Hampshire by scores of 29-31, 30-18, 30-26, 30-28, on Saturday night at Lundholm Gymnasium. With the win, the Seawolves improved to 10-9 overall and 2-1 in America East play, while the Wildcats fell to 4-14 and 0-3.
Morgan Sweany led the Stony Brook attack with a match and career-high 19 kills to go with 14 digs. Melissa Votruba and Danielle MacKnight each added 13 kills, while Maria Samilo chipped in with 11 kills. MacKnight led all players with five blocks in the match, while Abby Egan recorded 25 digs and Claire Lindner added 18 digs off the bench.
UNH was led by Erin Walkers' 18 kills and 15 digs, while Katie Weidner posted 63 assists.
The Seawolves are back in action on Friday when they travel to take on Northeastern at 7:00 p.m.
