The Stony Brook men's tennis team fell to Princeton 5-2 on Saturday evening in Princeton, N.J. Tal Meir and Egil Anonsen picked up singles wins for the Seawolves.
Princeton jumped ahead after taking the doubles point, sweeping all three matches as the teams of Meir/Robitaille (8-0), Wali/Anonsen (8-6) and Crooks/Carpenter (8-5) all fell.
In No. 1 singles, Meir won by default, while Anonsen captured No. 5 singles with a 6-7, 6-4, 11-9 victory.
At No. 2 singles, Michael Crooks fell 7-6, 6-3, while Alamgir Wali lost 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3. Jean-Francois Robitaille lost at No. 4, 6-2, 6-4, and James Carpenter fell at No. 6, 7-6, 6-4.
The Seawolves are back in action when they take on Boston University on March 20 and Boston College on March 21 in Boston.
