Men's Tennis Sweeps Past Boston University 7-0

Boston, Mass. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team dominated Boston University on Saturday afternoon, sweeping all eight matches to defeat the Terriers 7-0. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 7-1 on the season.

Stony Brook did not drop a set all day in defeating Boston University, taking all six singles points as well as all three doubles matches. Tal Meir led the way at No. 1 singles, winning his match 6-2, 6-2, while teammates Michael Crooks (6-4, 6-4), Alamgir Wali (6-1, 3-6, 6-2), Jean-Francois Robitaille (6-0, 6-3), Egil Anonsen (6-0, 6-2) and Philippe Amireault (6-2, 7-6 {7-3}) won at No. 2 through No. 6 singles, respectively.

Wali and Anonsen were paired at No. 1 doubles and won 8-6, while Meir and Robitaille (9-8 {7-2})were victorious at No. 2 and Crooks and James Carpenter won 8-1 at the three spot.

The Seawolves are back in action tomorrow morning when they take on Boston College at 9:30 a.m.
