The Stony Brook men's tennis team picked up its ninth win of the season with a 7-0 sweep of Sacred Heart on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 9-1 on the season.
SB captured the doubles point to open the day with victories from the teams of Meir/Robitaille (8-0) at No. 1, Crooks/Carpenter (8-4) at No. 2 and Amireault/Jacobson (8-2) at No. 3.
The Seawolves then swept through singles, with Tal Meir and Alamgir Wali both earning 6-0, 6-2 victories at No. 1 and 2, respectively, and Jean-Francois Robitaille posting a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3. Egil Anonsen won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4, while Philippe Amireault captured No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory and Matt Jacobson won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.
SB returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Hartford at noon.
