Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Senior men's tennis player Jan Krejci is ranked 96th in the nation according to the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles poll, which came out on January 13. Krejci moved up four spots nationally and is the third ranked player in the entire Northeast Region.
Krejci, who joined the Seawolves squad this season after three years at BYU Hawaii, went 11-1 in the fall season, including a trip to the ITA Regional Semifinals, to improve his ranking to 96th in the country. He is the third highest ranked player in the Northeast Region, trailing just the duo of Martin Wetzel (20) and Jonathan Chu (24) from Harvard.
Krejci and rest of the men's team will open the spring season in West Point, N.Y., on January 29-30, when they compete in the Army Invitational.
