Men's Swimming Defeats St. Peter's

Jersey City, N.J. - After over a month with no competition, the Seawolves returned to action in New Jersey to overcome St. Peter's College 94-36 on Saturday afternoon. Several Seawolves finished strong to help improve SB's record to 4-3 on the season.

The relay team of Jeffrey Chu, Alexei Smirnov, Frank Schursky and Mikhail Norov finished first in the 200 medley in a time of 1:42.51. Chu went on to take the top spot in the 50 butterfly in a time of 24.03.

Ted Freeborn touched the wall first in the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.92 and took second in the 100 freestyle behind teammate, Dan Piastuck who finished first in 1:01.91.

Vladimir Sreckovic, Frank Schursky and Kyle Thornton took the one, two and three spots in the 100 breaststroke finishing at 1:02.63, 1:03.75 and 1:04.50, respectively.

Diver Brian Leight took the top spot in the 1 meter event to score points for SB.

The Seawolves are back in action on Saturday as they take on the Stags of Fairfield at 1:00 p.m. in Connecticut.
