Women's Swimming and Diving Tops Fairfield

Fairfield, Conn. - Shirlee Manoogian and Jamie Bevilacqua both swam to two individual first place finishes and helped their respective relay teams to wins as the Seawolves defeated Fairfield 137-106 in women's swimming and diving on Saturday afternoon in Farfield, Conn. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 7-2 on the season.

Manoogian touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle in 2:11.22 and again in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:25.45. She teamed up with Kim Harris, Courtney Teague and Allison DeSanti to take the top spot in the 400 medley relay. DeSanti swam to a first place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:47.12 to score points for the Seawolves. Harris took second behind teammate Autumn Griggers in the 100 freestyle.

Bevilacqua won the 800 freestyle in a time of 9:28.48 and touched the wall first in the 400 meter freestyle before teaming up with Griggers, Teague and Starlyn Rupinski to win the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 4:08.26.

Diver Hailey Lewandowski took the top spots in both the 1 meter and 3 meter boards, diving to her best score of the year in the 3 meter dive with a score of 236.18.

The Seawolves return to action on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet with Binghamton.
