Box Score

Durham, N.H. - Stony Brook remained undefeated away from LaValle Stadium as the Seawolves blanked New Hampshire 2-0 at a rainy Bremner Field in America East men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves, who are now 6-0-2 away from home, improved to 7-2-3 on the season and 2-0-1 in league play, while the Wildcats fell to 7-3-2 and 0-3-1.

After a scorless first half, SB broke through on a counterattack as Tamer Mohamed sent a pass up to Chris Megaloudis. Megaloudis fed Michael Palacio who sent in a shot from 35 yards out that found its way into the lower left corner of the net to make it 1-0 at the 60:03 mark.

With a minute left in the match, Palacio and Chris Scarpati ended up on a two-on-one breakaway, with Palacio finding Scarpati close to the net and Scarpati chipping the ball from five yards out past UNH keeper Brian Levey to put SB up 2-0 and put the game away.

EJ Xikis (6-2-1) turned away four shots to earn his third shutout of the season and second straight. Levey made four saves in the loss.

The Seawolves close out their home schedule with a three-game homestand beginning with a matchup with in-state rival Albany next Saturday at 7 p.m.
