Swimming and Diving Splits with Boston University

The Stony Brook University swimming and diving teams split with Boston University this afternoon in America East action. The men topped the Terriers, 134-109, while the women were nipped by BU, 126-115.

On the men's side, the Seawolves swept the 50 free, as Jon Sigurosson(21.48), Omer Ozcan (21.80), and Christopher Pai (21.97) all placed before the Terriers. Sigurosson won his second event in the 200 breast with a time of 2:11.01. Rafael Labour won the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.88, and the 200 back (1:54.22), while Jeffrey Chu won the 200 breast in a time of 1:56.70. Dan Piastuck touched first in the 100 free (48.53). The 400 free relay team of Ozcan, Piastuck, Pai, Labour was victorious in a time of 3:12.24.

On the women's side, Shirlee Manoogian claimed first place in the 1000 freestyle (10:39.08), and the 200 fly (2:06.35). Jamie Bevilacqua won the 200 free with a time of 1:58.11 and the 500 free (5:17.01). Kim Harris touched first in the 50 free with a time of 25.28, and the 200 back (2:11.96). Autumn Griggers claimed first place in the 100 free with a time of 54.86. The 400 free relay of Courtney Teague, Griggers, Bevilacqua, and Manoogian came in first with a time of 3:37.09 .
