Seawolves Come Up Short Against New Hampshire, 76-66

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Mike Christensen scored 18 points to lead New Hampshire to a 76-66 victory over Stony Brook on Sunday.

The game was tied at 36 at halftime and neither team led by more than five points until the game's final minutes, when New Hampshire (9-18, 5-13 America East) put together a 7-2 run to make it 68-62 with 3:05 remaining. The Wildcats went 6-of-6 from the free throw line over the final 1:32 to ice the victory. Jermaine Anderson made four of the free throws.

New Hampshire led 27-18 with 7:31 left in the first half, but Stony Brook (11-16, 6-12) answered with a 16-7 run and tied the game at 34 with 2:01 left in the half.

Mike Popoko led Stony Brook with 22 points.

Ben Sturgill added 15 points for the Wildcats, while Blagoj Janev had 12 and Craig Walls 10.
