Stony Brook Falls To Vermont, 82-55

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The nation's top-scoring duo, T.J. Sorrentine and Taylor Coppenrath each scored 27 points as Vermont rolled past Stony Brook, 82-52 Wednesday evening.

Coppenrath, the nation's third-leading scorer heading into the game, and Sorrentine each scored 15 in the first half as Vermont held Stony Brook scoreless for a 5{-minute to give the Catamounts a 35-18 lead at the break.

Timothy McCrory came off the bench to haul in nine rebounds in his best action of the season.

Stony Brook was led by Cori Spencer who came off the bench to have 15 points and seven rebounds while Antwan Hardy added 13 points.
