Men's Soccer upsets #25 Boston University, 1-0

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Off a 25-yard free kick in the 80th minute, Oscar Leis scored the game-winning goal as the Stony Brook men's soccer team upset #25 Boston University, 1-0, at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Sunday. Stony Brook is 5-9-0, 2-2-0 in the America East while Boston University is 6-3-4, 1-2-1.

After re-entering the game in the 71st minute, Leis blasted the ball just under the upper '90, past a diving Terriers' goalkeeper Zach Riffett to put the Seawolves ahead, 1-0.

Rich Skoblicki made six saves, all of which were high percentage shots, for his second consecutive shutout. Stony Brook outshot Boston U., 17-13.

Stony Brook travels to Connecticut to take on Hartford on Wednesday, October 11. Kick-off is slated for 6:00 pm.
