Stony Brook, N.Y. - Rafael Labour collects Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors after several outstanding performances at the America East Swimming and Diving Championships last weekend.

The freshman was named Most Outstanding Rookie at the meet after earning conference titles in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke. Labour set an America East Championship record in the 200 backstroke, while setting Stony Brook school records in both events.

He also posted four top-three finishes in relays, finishing second in the 200 medley relay and third in the 200 and 400 freestyle and 400 medley relays. All were Stony Brook school records.
