After being edged for the doubles point, the Stony Brook men's tennis team rallied to a 5-2 win over Colgate on Saturday afternoon. With the win the men improve to 4-4 on the season.
After falling at No. 1 doubles, 9-8 and line two doubles, 9-7, the men won five of six singles matches for the win. The duo of Tal Meir and Dave Kortum were the sole winners at doubles, as they cruised to an 8-5 win at No. 3.
In singles, Meir won in three sets at No. 1, 6-1, 3-6, 6-0, Mike Crooks won at line two, 6-2, 6-3, Nihal Advani rallied for the three-set win at line three, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, Youssef Fassi-Fehri won at line four, 7-5, 6-4 and Kortum won at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
The men return to action on Sunday when they take on Cornell.
