Men's Tennis Trumps Bearcats, 5-2

Vestal, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team won its third straight America East match with a 5-2 win over Binghamton. The Seawolves improve to 9-6 overall and a perfect 3-0 in conference play.

The Seawolves raced out and grabbed all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. Tal Meir and Mike Crooks teamed up at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-4, Nihal Advani and Jean-Francois Robitaille paired up at No. 2 and won 8-6 and Youssef Fassi-Fehri and David Kortum teamed up at No. 3 and won 8-6.

In singles, Crooks rolled at No. 2, 6-1, 6-0, Advani cruised at No. 3, 6-1, 6-1, Fassi-Fehri outlasted his opponent at No. 4, 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 and Kortum rallied to win at No. 6, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4.

The men return to action on Tuesday when they take on Siena. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 P.M.
