Volleyball Swept By Fordham

Bronx, N.Y. - The Stony Brook volleyball team lost its sixth straight match as the Seawolves lost to Fordham, 3-0 (30-24, 30-19, 30-23). The loss drops Stony Brook to 5-7 on the season and Fordham improves to 8-3. Morgan Sweany and Gulce Nazli Dikecligil each tallied double-digit kills for Stony Brook.

As a team the Seawolves only managed to hit .095 and totaled 24 errors on the night. Sweany notched the double-double, as the junior outside hitter blasted 11 kills and recorded 10 digs. Dikecligil totaled 11 kills and Claire Lindner added 14 digs in the loss.

The Seawolves return to action this Friday when they compete in the Golden Eagle Invitational at Marquette University. Stony Brook opens up the tournament on Friday against Manitoba at 5:00 p.m.
